I earned my undergraduate degree in communications at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. During that time, I was highly involved in several student organizations. My involvement on campus sparked a passion in me to pursue a career path that would allow me to work with students. Subsequently, I decided to pursue a Master of Public Administration and worked as the Graduate Assistant for Leadership Programming in the Dean of Students Office, which provided me additional opportunities to interact with students. After completing my masters, I accepted a position at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as the Coordinator of Leadership and Service. Since my long-term goal is to work with students and faculty in an academic department setting, I took a position in the School of Health Professions as the Academic Advisor and Program Counselor for the Master of Biomedical and Health Sciences Program. Through all of these experiences, I forged my values around passion, determination, authenticity, and resilience.
